Expected Schedule

Preseason Skills Clinic April 7th 11am-1pm (Preseason Skills Clinic is a PURCHASED event)
Game 1: April 14th, 11am-3pm
Game 2: April 21st, 11am-3pm
Game 3: April 28th, 11am-3pm
Game 4: May 5th, 11am-3pm
No Game May 12th (Happy Mother's Day!)
Game 5: May 19th, 11am-3pm
Game 6: May 26th, 11am-3pm
Championship Games June 2nd 11am-3pm
(All teams play on June 2nd)

(Ring for 1st place and Medal for 2nd place)

Our Goal:
To provide a fun, safe, exciting, and competitive football experience for the community of Sacramento.
 
League Format:
   - Ages 5-14: 5 vs 5
  - Divisions by Age: 5/6 (6U), 7/8 (8U), 9/10 (10U), 11/12 (12U), 13/14 (14U),
  - All Divisions: 60 Min’s Scheduled – 40 Min Game (Two 20 Min Halves) 

Game Days and Times: 11am-3pm
Days: SUNDAYS

Younger divisions will play 1st and we will progress to the older divisions. Practices are 1 hour prior to games. Any practices outside of this timeframe will be subject to player availability and organized by coaches.

Rosters:
  -5 vs 5 Roster sizes will be 6 to 10 players.
  - Please submit friend requests during registration to help us get you on the correct team. 

Coaches:
-Head Coaches- Will receive a coaches discount code. First come first serve basis for head coaches that register, unless bringing a full team.
  - Volunteer Coaches (Usually Parents) 
  - Interested in being a Coach! Please use the Volunteer Opportunities option under Registration Information Tab.
  - Practices are held 1 hour prior to games.
  - Coaches meeting: about 1 week before the season start to go over rules and guidelines
  - For those that Volunteer, Gridiron thanks you. 

Schedules and Rosters Timeline:
  - Roster will be released to coaches 2 weeks before the season starts  
  - Playing schedules will be out 1 week before the season starts
 
Gear Guide
Gridiron Football will provide the following so your child can be a superstar on the field:
  • Gridiron Branded Jersey and Shorts
  • Flag Belt

Players will need to provide:
  • Cleats/Shoes (Soccer Cleats work great and come in fun colors)
  • Mouth Guard
  • Water Bottle
  • Soft Shell Helmet (Recommended NOT REQUIRED)
